A numerical technique for predicting incompressible turbulent free-surface fluid flow problems.

Resumo

This report describes a computational method for the solution of incompressible turbulent free-surface fluid flow problems. The closure of the time-averaged Navier- Stokes equations is achieved by using two-equation K-E turbulence model. In order to stabilize the numerical calculations, a high-order upwinding technique is adopted for the discretization of the non-linear derivatives. The flexibility of the method is demonstrated by application to several two-dimensional and axisymmetric fluid flows.
